Notes: Flight Lieutenant "Mike" Gladych was one of six Polish
pilots that were attatched to the 56th FG of the U.S. 8th Air Force. These six pilots flew
154 missions and destroyed 22 enemy aircraft in air to air combat and 4 on the ground. Gladych
was awarded a Silver Star from the USAAF for driving a group of enemy fighters away from a bomber
formation. Gladych's unofficial score is 26 victories. |
