| Remarks: Eugeniusz Was killed leading a fighter sweep in the Beayvais region of France. During this sweep the squadron encounted a group of around 60 Fw -190s taking off and flying patrol around the airfields. Horbaczewski took down two Fw-190's on the first pass and blasted a third while swinging around. He then took a cannon round in the cockpit, which killed him instantly. His squadron went on the down an additional 13 Fw-190s for a total of sixteen. |
